Serbian Krajina currency (5 million, 5 billion). There were three distinct dinars. The first was introduced in July 1992 in parallel with the new Yugoslav dinar of that year, to which it was equal. The second dinar replaced the first at a rate of 1 million to one on 1 October 1993, while the third replaced the second at a rate of 1 billion to one on 1 January 1994. In 1995, Croatia took control of the region, and the Croatian Kuna became the currency.
